It is located at the edge of the junction of Veneto and Trentino-Upper Adige in northeastern Italy. The core protected area of the Dolomiti Mountain Heritage Site is 1359.11km%, which is part of the northern Italian Alps. There are as many as 18 peaks above 3000m. The sequential heritage sites composed of nine regions display outstanding diversity of mountain landscapes, including peak clusters, peak needles, rock walls and other landmark landscape types in international geomorphology research, including glacial landforms and karst landforms. Frequent landslides, floods and avalanches staged a characteristic dynamic geological change process, sports fitness .

Heritage description
Dolomitti Mountain is a part of the Alps, located in the eastern part of the northern Italian Alps, with an altitude of 3343 meters. It covers 141903 hectares. It spans three major regions: Friuli-Venez-Giulia, Trentino-Upper Adige and Veneto. The towering mountains cover the provinces of Trento, Polchano (75% covered by Dolomiti Mountain), Utina and Podenone. Dolomite Hill lay quietly on the sea floor 250 million years ago, and surfaced 70 million years ago. Since then, it has become a huge geological treasure house, especially rich in fossils.
In 2009, according to the natural heritage selection criteria (vii) (viii), the Dolomite Mountains were approved by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee as a natural heritage and included in the World Heritage List.
Selection criteria (vii): Dolomite is widely recognized as one of the most attractive mountain landscapes in the world. Their inner beauty comes from various spectacular vertical forms: such as peaks, spires, round towers, including bumps, cliffs and plates, which are in sharp contrast with the horizontal surface, all of which suddenly rise on the vast debris deposits and the more gentle foothills. The contrast between the exposed light-colored rock surface and the forest and grassland below provides rich colors. The mountains are towering and the canyons are interspersed, isolated in some places, but forming a panoramic view in other places. Some of the cliffs here are more than 1500 meters high, which is one of the highest limestone cliffs in the world. The unique scenery of dolomite has become the prototype of "dolomite landscape". The pioneers of geologists who first captured the beauty of the mountains further emphasized the aesthetic charm of this land in their paper writing, subsequent paintings and photography.

Selection criteria (viii): Dolomite has international geomorphological significance and is a classic place for developing mountains in dolomitic limestone. The landform in this area is diverse and related to erosion, structure and glaciation. Globally, the quantity and density of limestone are extremely diverse, including peaks, towers, minarets and some of the highest vertical rock walls in the world. Its geological value is also of international significance, especially the evidence of Mesozoic carbonate platform or "fossil atoll", especially the evidence provided by them shows the evolution of biological structures after the Permian and Triassic boundary lines, and the preservation of the relationship between the coral reefs they built and the basins around them. Dolomite also includes several internationally important Triassic stratigraphic type profiles. The scientific value of the heritage is also supported by evidence of long-term research and recognition at the international level. In short, the combination of geomorphology and geological value creates an attribute with global significance.
Dolomitti Mountain
Consisting of the Alps in northern Italy, there are 18 peaks with a height of more than 3000 meters and an area of 141903 hectares. Here, you can see wonderful mountain scenery, vertical rock walls, steep cliffs and deep and narrow valleys scattered everywhere. A series of heritage consisting of nine regions shows a variety of international scenic spots with steep mountains and cliffs. The heritage can also see glacial landforms and karst landforms. Geological activity is also the characteristic of this region, with frequent landslides, floods and avalanches. In addition, the preservation of the Mesozoic carbonate platform system with fossil records here is exemplary. [1-2]
Editorial broadcast of estate introduction
Dolomites (Alpi Dolomitiche in Italian) is a group of mountains in the northern eastern part of the Italian Alps. There are 18 peaks in Dolomiti Mountain, with a height of more than 3000 meters and an area of 141903 hectares. Dolomiti Mountain spans three regions: Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto. The towering mountains cover Trento, Bolzano (75% covered by Dolomiti Mountain), Udine and Podenone and other provinces.
Dolomiti Mountain is a world-famous tourist resort. It has magnificent mountains, peaks, unique and charming posture. The mountains embrace many charming villages. The air here is pure, the scenery is picturesque, and all kinds of activities can be carried out all year round, so Dolomiti Mountain has become the center of international tourism, especially in winter.
There are roads passing through many famous mountain passes. The main center of tourism and mountaineering activities is Cortina d'Ampezzo. Other tourist destinations include Aurenzo, Ortisei, etc. The larger towns Bolzano and Belluno are located in the west and southeast.
Dolomitte Mountain - named after French geologists
Dolomitti belongs to the eastern Alps in Italy. Dolomiti Mountain has many peaks, of which 18 peaks are more than 3050 meters above sea level; The highest point is Mount Marmorada, which has a 610-meter cliff on the south slope. Dolomiti Mountain is composed of light-colored limestone. Affected by erosion, the ridge is serrated, the valley is deep, and there are many steep cliffs. There are 41 glaciers and only a small forest area.
Mount Dolomite lay quietly on the sea floor 250 million years ago. It surfaced 70 million years ago. The peaks in the mountains are of different shapes. Its "painful tangled" situation (peak, spire, round tower) is very characteristic. The main reason for shaping and destroying the appearance of Doromiti Mountain is the local climate. Of course, there are large areas of gravel deposits here, which also contribute to erosion.
In the 18th century, the French geologist Dieudonne Dolomieu conducted scientific research on the region and its geology. This mountain was named after the French geologist Dieudonne Dolomieu. The geologist first discovered the characteristics of dolomite (Dolomite), which is a kind of limestone. Dolomite Mountain is rich in this stone. The mountain is composed of light-colored limestone. Affected by erosion, the ridge is serrated, and the valley is deep, with many steep cliffs.
The spectacular view of Dolomitti Mountain
Le Corbusier, the most famous architect in the 20th century, described Dolomiti Mountain as the most beautiful architectural masterpiece in the world. The towering and majestic mountains stand at the intersection of Italian, German and local Latino cultures. This mountain is also known as "White Mountain". The name comes from the white and flawless dolomite. But every dawn and sunset, everything in the mountain will be dyed with a layer of pink, and then turn to dark red. This phenomenon is known as the light of the Alps (enrosadira). Dolomiti is famous for this. The Brenta mountains are located at the westernmost end of the Dolomiti Mountains. In the mountains lies the tourist resort Madonna di Campiglio (belonging to the Trento region). However, according to official propaganda, the most charming natural scenery of Dolomiti Mountain is the mountains in the east of Trento between the Val Cismon and Fiemme and Fassa Valleys. Further on, we can see the San Martino-Castrosa Mountain, which is close to the Pale di San Martino and Fiera di Primero mountains, located in the Fayeme-Fasa Valley, surrounded by many peaks such as Sella, Sassolungo, Marmolada, Moena and Canazei. Go north and you can see the Val Gardena, which belongs to Bolzano province. On both sides of the valley are the beautiful city of Ortisei and the charming city of Santa Cristina and Selva.
Then we can see the Alpe di Siusi, the Valle Isaco in the north and the famous Bressanone (which has been one of the major cultural centers in Central Europe for centuries), as well as the Val Pasteria and Brunico (located at the foot of the Plan de Corones), At the end of the view stands the San Candido Mountain. It is close to the Comelico region, and the center of the region is Santo Stefano di Cadore. Heading towards Cortina, Auronzo suddenly came into sight. Here lies the beautiful Missurina Lake. Standing on the edge of the lake and looking up, you can see Tre Cime and Monte Cristallo Mountain Cortina. There is no need to introduce it again. Go through the "pearl of Dolomiti Mountain" and pass through the Falzarega Pass, You can meet Arabba at the junction of Veneto and Upper Adijie by accident, and then go further to Val Badia, belonging to Borzano Province. Cassiano, La Villa and Corvara are the three bright pearls on the crown, and the local residents belong to the Ladino. Let's return to the area around Belluno and see Alleghe standing quietly beside the lake of the same name. Further south, between Mount Marmorada, Civetta and Mount Pell-San Martino, you can see Agordo, which is an internationally famous mountaineering center. Finally, when we come to the northeast corner of Dolomiti, you can see the cities of San Vito and Pieve. Behind the two small cities is Sappada. They are located at the junction of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Friuli - Dolomiti Regional Park is also located in this area, between the two provinces of Udine and Podenone.
Dolomitti Mountain
Dolomiti Mountain is a world-famous tourist resort. Here, the mountains are magnificent, the peaks are numerous, the posture is unique and charming, and the mountains embrace many charming villages. The air here is pure, the scenery is picturesque, and all kinds of activities can be carried out all year round, so Dolomiti Mountain has become the center of international tourism, especially in winter. Arturo Toscanini (1867-1957, Italian conductor and cellist) used to enjoy walking in the Alps Hughes, but there is no doubt that Cortina has been occupying the throne of "Queen Dolomiti" since it was discovered by the German and Austrian nobles and British mountaineers at the end of the 19th century. However, after the outbreak of the First World War, all activities in the mountains were abruptly suspended.
The Winter Olympic Games held in Cortina, Italy, in 1956 revived the tourism industry of Dolomiti Mountain. Then the prosperity of the film industry brought the development of the mountain area into a new stage: Cortina became the scene for many films, such as Agent 007: For Your Eyes Only, starring Roger Moore, which was released in 1981. Before that, the location of the first episode of the Pink Panther series starring Peter Sellers and David Niven in 1962 was also located in Cortina. Since then, Dolomitti Mountain (especially Cortina and the increasingly popular Badia Valley in recent years) has become a playground for rich people, nobles, film directors, actors (such as Clark Gable and Brigitte Bardot), athletes, artists and industrial and international economic giants.
A paradise for rock climbers
Dolomitti Mountain is a paradise for rock climbers. During the First World War, the dividing line between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies crossed the Dolomitic Mountains. There are open-air war museums on Cinque Torri and Mount Lagazuoyi. Many tourists come to the Via ferrata in Dolomiti Mountain. This is a kind of climbing method in which iron ropes, metal pedals and even ladders are set on the route to ensure safety. During the First World War, this protective path was established for the first time in Dolomiti Mountain. A long distance hiking trail runs through Dolomiti Mountain, known as "Alte vie" (high altitude trail). These trails are numbered from 1 to 8, and it takes at least one week to cross the peak. There are a lot of huts along the way.
