This hiking route is also known as "slope average hiking".
Development history
Meili Snow Mountain is the "most famous" snow mountain in China. The numerous snow mountains, glaciers, and great altitude drop have created a rich and diverse landscape in Meili Snow Mountain area. Walking in Meili Snow Mountain, you can feel the ultimate experience comparable to the Himalayas.
The most mature travel route is that Tibetan Buddhist believers have walked for more than 800 years in the Merino turn - the Yubeng hiking route has become an entry-level outdoor route because of its proximity and low difficulty, which is suitable for almost all people to play.
Meili North Slope
The more difficult Meili outward turn is a pilgrimage journey that pious Buddhist believers must take in their whole life. Generally, it takes 8-13 days to circle Kawagbo in a clockwise direction, and Tibetans prefer to complete the mountain turn in 13 days, because this is an auspicious number. The outward turn is 250 kilometers away, and it crosses seven large mountain passes with an elevation difference of more than 1500 meters. However, due to the restrictions of weather and traffic and other factors, few donkey friends set foot in it
Meili North Slope
This hiking route has been adjusted for many times, and finally determined the route of 50 kilometers in five days. On the way, you can watch many peaks such as Lairi Gongka (6300 meters), Nairi Dingka (6379 meters), Manggu Laka (6040 meters), Kawagbo II Peak (6509 meters) in close range, climbing 4650 meters in total, falling 5600 meters in total, and the highest altitude is 5200 meters, with moderate difficulty.
On the way, there is enough time and space for taking photos and making contact with snow mountains and glaciers at zero distance every day, and there is a caravan for the whole journey, which can be completed with light weight, and the intensity is slightly greater than the Locke Line, and the landscape is comparable to the EBC.
Introduction to the scenic spot
In the novel "The Lost Horizon" written by the British writer James Hilton, "Shangri-La" is a beautiful and dreamy secret land. In English, it represents "a remote and charming place". In French, it means "fairyland on earth", in Spanish, it means "paradise", and in Chinese, it is interpreted as "paradise".
Where is the mysterious country that appears in the novel. The world is debating endlessly, and finally becomes an unresolved century puzzle... Nepal's Mustang, Baltistan, Ladak, Daocheng Aden, Chayu, Bomi, Linzhi, and Zhongdian County, now renamed "Shangri-La City", all boast of "Shangri-La's Honour".
Dalaigou Camp
The Shangri-La in the novel is located at the border between Tibet and China, where there are mysterious and peaceful blue moon valley, desolate snow fields, snow mountains like pyramids towering into the clouds, misty forests, Lama temples... It seems that the description is the "northern slope of Meili" hidden in the deep margin of the Himalayas.
The northern slope of Meili Snow Mountain is located at the northern foot of the rarely inhabited Meili Snow Mountain, which is more primitive and quiet than the "paradise for hikers" Yubeng Village. For this reason, few hikers have set foot in it. Some people say it is "the last secret place of Meili Snow Mountain", "the nearest place to the god of Kawagbo Mountain", and others say it is the prototype of the mysterious and ancient snow god "Shangri-La" in the novel "The Lost Horizon".
Meili North Slope
There is a hiking route in the northern slope of Meri, which is comparable to the EBC of the base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal. It originates from the pilgrimage route of Tibetan Buddhist believers who have a history of thousands of years -- Meri Snow Mountain turns outside, Pojun Camp, Pojiang Upper Camp, Dalai Ancient Camp, Bamboo Forest Camp, Nairidingka Glacier, Meili Double Lake, Leo Snow Mountain (Kawagbo II Peak), Manggu Laka Peak, Lairi Gongka Peak, Nairidingka Peak There are many strange mountains and waters in the Yunnan-Tibet border, such as Yakou.
Main attractions
Pojun Camp
In the local Tibetan language, Pojun Camp means "the bottom of the valley where immortals live". It faces three towering peaks with an altitude of more than 6000 meters, namely, Nairidingka, Manguolaka, and Lairigongka. The Ten-year Glacier - Nairidingka Glacier is close at hand. The scenery is just like the Blue Moon Valley in the novel "The Lost Horizon", so it is known as "the last secret land of Meili North Slope".
Nairidingka Glacier
Nairidingka Glacier is located on the side of Nairidingka Peak (6379 meters). Standing on the Pojun camp, the huge pale blue glacier belt stretches across the front of the eyes, making people feel like a crystal palace in the myth. The scenery is more magnificent than Vatna Glacier, and is not inferior to any of the "six most beautiful glaciers in China".
Lion Snow Mountain
The Lion Snow Mountain, also known as Coagulaka and Kawagbo II, is 6509 meters above sea level, second only to the "God of Snow Mountain" Kawagbo, and the second highest peak in the Meili Snow Mountain. It is regarded by Tibetan Buddhist believers as "the immortal who practices in the Prince's Palace". If Zeng Yike sings "Lion" as a must listen song of Leo, then the Lion Snow Mountain is the beauty of Leo must play cards.
Meili Double Lake
Meili Shuanghu Lake (originally named Shuanghu Lake, but named Meili Shuanghu Lake in order to distinguish it from Tibet Shuanghu Lake) is a rare Shuangsheng Snow Mountain Ice Lake. On weekdays, the water of the lake is blue and transparent, just like two blue gemstones inlaid on the ice sheet. In winter, it is covered with ice and disappears without trace. It is more quiet and mysterious than the Rainfall Ice Lake, and has the reputation of "Tianchi Lake of Meili Snow Mountain".
Shuanghu
Located on the west side of Nairidingka Peak, Manggu Laka Peak is composed of two juxtaposed majestic snow peaks with an altitude of 6040 meters. You can watch its magnificent "Sunshine Golden Mountain" in close range at Pojun Camp, which is more shocking and amazing than the Sunshine Golden Mountain seen at the Feilai Temple and the Fog Dense Peak Viewing Platform.
Mangfraka Peak
The camp above Pojiang, also known as Pojiang Cattle Farm, is a large area of beautiful natural ancient pasture. In summer, the grass is green, cattle and sheep are full of hills, and everything is dead in autumn. It presents a colorful scene. In winter, it is covered with ice for thousands of miles and snows for thousands of miles. Its scenery is no less than that of Xinjiang Brzinkanas Lake National Geological Park.
Yunnan-Tibetan border pass
The Yunnan-Tibet boundary pass is the boundary pass from Yunnan to Tibet. It has a broad view and is like walking on the sky road. It is the best place to watch the whole view of several snow mountains in the northern slope of Meili in a close distance. It is known as "the most beautiful natural viewing platform of Meili Snow Mountain" and "the first dangerous pass of Meili Snow Mountain".
