Since the 1970s, Taiwan has started to trace the stream, which was once neglected. Since the 1990s, under the strong advocacy and promotion of Liang Mingben, Zhuang Zaichuan, Huang Dexiong and others, Taiwan has been in the ascendant. Tracing the river is an outdoor activity that can combine mountaineering, rock climbing, camping, swimming, rope operation, survival in the wild, positioning sports, bird watching and other comprehensive technologies. In the process of tracing the river, the tracker must use certain equipment and technology to overcome many difficulties and dangers, such as rapids and rapids, deep pools and waterfalls, which is full of challenges. There are no certain requirements for the equipment of tracing the river, but because different river valley terrain may be dangerous, it is necessary to apply climbing technology and equipment, such as rope to help the team members cross the river and climb the rock wall.
