Dikaner village is the last oasis of the "Great Seaway" in ancient Turpan. The ancient castle, Daasa, about 7-8 kilometers to the west of it, is an important military town guarding this oasis and the southeast portal of ancient Turpan. Because of this, Dikaner became the first stop of the "Great Seaway" to Dunhuang, and also had a relationship with the word "sea" because the two sides of the southeast are close to the Gobi Desert like the sea. Specifically, the Kumtag Desert near the east of Dikhar and the Kashun Gobi between Turpan and Dunhuang (180km away from Hami City) near the southeast are the main sections of the "Great Seaway".
The Kashun Gobi is a peneplain (with low hills). The landform is in the form of wind erosion and erosion, and is covered with gravel, gravel and quicksand. It is the most widely distributed area of the rocky Gobi (rocky desert) in China. There is very little precipitation, surface water and groundwater are very scarce, and the salt content is high. The climate is extremely dry, and there are desert scenes everywhere. It is one of the regions with the strongest continental climate in the world. The Kashun Gobi is vast, empty, boundless, and like the sea. It was called the "Great Sand Sea" in the Tang Dynasty, and the "Great Seaway" also got its name.
