Ethiopian Empire
Ethiopian Empire
Ethiopian Empire, also known as Abyssinia, was a country in eastern Africa from 1270 to 1974. It is the predecessor of the contemporary East African countries, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Eritrea.
The Abyssinian Empire was the only two countries that had maintained independent status with Liberia in the wave of imperialist Scramble for Africa until after the World War II.
Unlike other African countries, Ethiopia's ancient monarchy and system had been preserved before the invasion of Italy in World War II (1936-1941), and was not engulfed by the wave of colonialism.
The Ethiopian Empire was overthrown by Mengistu in 1974,sports fitness .

Axum was expelled from the Arab region by the Persian Empire in 570, and then was forced to abandon the coastal territory.
The rise of the Arab Caliphate, together with the expansion of its power to the whole of North Africa, and the control of international trade in the Red Sea region, led to the gradual decline of the ancient Axum.
In 976, in order to resist the expanding Christian missionaries to the south, a Jewish queen named Goodit sent troops north to attack Axum. She burned many churches, razed the city of Axum, and finally ended the Axum Empire that had existed for nearly 1000 years.
Following the Kingdom of Aksum came the Zagwe dynasty with its capital in Roha. This dynasty lasted for about 150 years and was overthrown by the church in the 13th century because it was not an Israelite.
The Solomonic dynasty was founded by Yekuno Amlak, a famous ethnic group from the southern Shaoa region, and the country was named Abyssinia Empire.
