The Republic of Honduras (Spanish: Rep ú blica de Honduras), also known as Honduras, is located in northern Central America, bordering the Caribbean Sea to the north and the Gulf of Fonseca in the Pacific to the south. It borders Nicaragua and El Salvador to the east and south, and Guatemala to the west. The country is divided into 18 provinces, with the capital located in Tegucigalpa. In 2022, Honduras had a population of 10.221 million. Minerals include silver, gold, lead, zinc, copper, etc, sports fitness  .

Honduras was originally inhabited by Native Americans. In 1502, Christopher Columbus landed here and named it Honduras (meaning "Abyss"). In the early 16th century, it became a Spanish colony. Independence was declared on September 15, 1821. Joined the Central American Federation in 1823 and established a republic after the dissolution of the Federation in 1838.

Honduras is one of the least developed countries in Latin America. Agriculture is the leading industry in the national economy, with a relatively weak industrial foundation. In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) was 29.657 billion US dollars, with a per capita GDP of 2831 US dollars and a GDP growth rate of 4.1%.



On March 26, 2023, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang of the People's Republic of China held talks with Foreign Minister Reina of Honduras in Beijing and signed the Joint Communique between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Honduras on Establishing Diplomatic Relations. The two governments have decided to recognize each other and establish diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level from the date of signing the communique.

Honduras has a land area of 112500 square kilometers. Located in the northern part of Central America. Some areas will experience a "fish rain" between May and July because some parts of the Honduran sea will form tornadoes between May and July. Tornadoes will roll fish from the sea into the sky and then throw them down in some areas, resulting in a fish rain.
