The Swiss Confederation, abbreviated as "Switzerland", has its capital, Berne, located in central Europe, bordering Germany to the north, Austria and Liechtenstein to the east, Italy to the south, and France to the west. Located in the northern temperate zone, with four distinct seasons, the country is characterized by high and steep terrain, scarce mineral resources, and abundant forest and water resources. The total area is 41284 square kilometers, and the country is composed of 26 states (six of which are half states). As of 2021, the total population is 8.738 million, mainly Swiss, with a foreign population accounting for about 26.5%. German, French, Italian, and Latin Romantic are the official languages, and residents mainly believe in Catholicism and Protestantism,   sports fitness  .

The territory of Switzerland was a Celtic activity area in prehistoric times. The Celts were once indigenous peoples of central Europe. On August 1, 1291, the three states of Uri, Schwitz, and Lower Walden secretly formed a permanent alliance in the struggle against the Habsburg dynasty, which was the beginning of the founding of Switzerland. In 1815, the Vienna Conference confirmed Switzerland as a permanently neutral country. In 1848, the Constitution was enacted and the Federal Council was established, making it a unified federal state. He remained neutral in both world wars.



Switzerland is a highly developed industrial country with a free economic policy and is one of the richest countries in the world. It ranks first in the global innovation index and is known as the "heart of Europe". At the same time, it is also known as "the world garden", "the kingdom of clocks and watches", "the country of finance", and "the European water tower". It is the location of the headquarters or offices of many international organizations and the host country of international conferences. A total of 45 international organizations, including the United Nations, WTO, WHO, the International Olympic Committee, and the International Red Cross, have established headquarters or offices in Switzerland. At the same time, Switzerland is a member of international and regional organizations such as the United Nations and the Council of Europe.



In 2021, Switzerland's GDP was 731.6 billion Swiss francs, with a per capita GDP of 84055 Swiss francs.
