The British Virgin Islands (BVI) country code VG, also known as the British Virgin Islands, is located in the Caribbean Sea region east of Puerto Rico. The British Virgin Islands, along with the neighboring American Virgin Islands and Spanish Virgin Islands, are collectively known as the Virgin Islands,  sports fitness .

In modern geographical terms, the Virgin Islands are the northern island group of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Located on the northeast edge of the Caribbean Sea, with an area of approximately 507 square kilometers. Starting from the 16th century, it was successively colonized by Spain, the Netherlands, Britain, the United States, and Denmark, and later became part of Britain and the United States.
The northern and eastern parts are called the British Virgin Islands, with an area of 153 square kilometers and the capital city of Rhode City. In recent years, the financial services industry has developed rapidly and has become one of the financial centers in the Caribbean region. The western and southern parts are called the US Virgin Islands, with an area of 354 square kilometers and the capital being Charlotte Amaria.
The British Virgin Islands (BVI) consist of 50 islands, covering an area of 59 square miles, with approximately 15 islands inhabited by humans. The largest of them is TORTOLA, which covers an area of 21 square miles and has a population of 19000. The British Virgin Islands (BVI) are a self-governing, politically stable British colony legislated through an independent legislative council, and have become an important center for developing overseas business activities.

The British Virgin Islands are composed of approximately 60 semi tropical Caribbean islands.
The islands within the archipelago vary in size, with the largest island of Tortola stretching 12 kilometers, while the smallest island is too small to be inhabited. The British Virgin Islands are all located within the boundaries of the Virgin Islands, several miles east of the American Virgin Islands. The North Atlantic is located north of the archipelago, while the Caribbean Sea is located south of the archipelago. Most of the islands in the British Virgin Islands were originally volcanic islands, so the terrain is steep and mountainous. However, Anegada Island is an exception as it is composed of limestone and coral, making its terrain appear flat and wide.

In 2003, the archipelago had a total of 21730 residents. 83% of the population are African Caribbean people, whose ancestors mainly migrated from Africa as slaves. The other major ethnic groups in the archipelago include the British and other individuals with European ancestry.
