Mount Gnai, also known as Mount Gnai, is located in the center of Hengduan Mountains and is the highest peak of Mount Shaluli. It is known as the "heart of Hengduan". Among them, the main peak is Gangbo Holy Land (Gnee Peak), with an altitude of 6204 meters, which is the third peak in Sichuan.

Gnee Mountain is located in Litang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The rivers and valleys crisscross and crisscross, and the petal-like continuous snow mountains surround Gnee Mountain. There are natural ecosystem scenic spots, folk culture, nomadic culture and other cultural and ecological landscapes, such as the Eye of Gnee, grassland, marsh, waterfall, high mountain and flowing stone beach, glacier and snow peak. Gnee Mountain is the largest and most typical ancient ice cap trace in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and even in the world - a part of the "ancient ice cap of Haizi Mountain".

The name of Gnai Tibetan is "Samarepa". She is the 13th goddess among the 24 sacred mountains of Tibetan Buddhism in China, and is also one of the eight holy places of Vajra mantra of Shengle Vajra. In Tibet, the only holy places of Shengle Vajra are the Himalayas and the Goddess Mount Gnea. It is said that more than 2900 years ago, Sakyamuni Buddha once praised Mount Gnai as the holy land of pure meditation,   sports fitness  .

Formation and evolution

The formation of Shaluli Mountain is due to the disintegration of the planation plane formed in the late Tertiary period at the end of Pliocene and the beginning of Quaternary, and the occurrence of rift basins in some parts of the planation plane and the acceptance of fluvial and lacustrine deposits. Since then, the plateau has continued to pulsate and rise. Due to the tectonic faulting and the deep cutting of some large tributaries of the Jinsha River and Yalong River, a number of fault-depression river valleys and terraces have been formed. Affected by the collision between India and Eurasia, the Shaluli Mountain formed a secondary planation plane in the Paleogene and Neogene with the continuous rise of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. About 3 million years ago, the uplift intensified, and the planation plane was cut and broken, forming a hilly plateau with alternating hills and valleys, wide and round valleys, vertical and horizontal undulations, and finally forming Haizi Mountain, Gnea Mountain and other peaks.

Edit and broadcast the location situation

Located in the center of the Hengduan Mountains and in Litang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, Mount Gnai is parallel to the Boshula Mountains and Tanantaweng Mountains in the west, and parallel to the Great Snow Mountains and other mountains in the east.

geographical environment

geology

The top of Mount Gnea is covered with snow all the year round, the ridge is in a blade shape, the slope wall is complex, the bare rock peak butterfly, and many cliff sentries.

landforms

On the north side of the main peak of Mount Genier, there is a vast plateau grass slope with gentle relief. The sea water is scattered all over the grassland. The geomorphic landscape is of mountain type, which is divided into plateau mountain plain, plateau mountain plain wide valley and plateau mountain plain canyon. Due to the mountain structure and uplift, the terrain is high and the elevation difference is large. Most areas in the territory are higher than 4000 meters above sea level. The internal landform of the region is becoming increasingly complex, and the terrain presents obvious vertical zoning. From low to high, the types of mountain, mountain, and extremely high mountain appear successively. In the mountain narrow valley, wide valley, and the top planation surface of high mountain, the types of platform, multi-flat dam, and high mountain plain appear again.
