Guizhou exploratory cave

Guizhou exploratory cave

The deep and dark cave will make many people feel afraid, but it is the source of love and happiness for another group of people. Huang Xiaosong is the latter. He is a native of Guizhou, who lived surrounded by mountains since childhood. He is very familiar with the scattered karst caves formed by karst landform there. Since primary school, he has been fascinated by cave exploration. To this day, the splendor of the cave still makes him feel unable to extricate himself, and also makes him walk on the road to find more caves, sports fitness     .

The beauty of the wonders in the karst caves in Guizhou makes Huang Xiaosong unable to extricate himself. The pictures in this paper provide Huang Xiaosong with information. Although in today's China, cave exploration is more of a novel extreme sport that has entered the public's view, in Huang Xiaosong's view, cave exploration is far from mysterious. As one of the typical areas for the development of karst landforms in China, Guizhou is known as the "Karst Kingdom". There are many kinds of caves here. Some caves are like labyrinths, and many have hidden rivers, which are the paradise of many cave explorers at home and abroad. There are known Shuanghe Cave, the fourth longest karst cave in the world and the longest in Asia, and many ordinary people can explore simple caves with basic protective equipment. For Huang Xiaosong, the cave brought him not only the excitement of adrenaline surge, but also the feeling of appreciating the magnificent beauty of the motherland.

What is the experience of exploring caves in Guizhou? How terrible and beautiful the cave can be, Private Geography talked with Huang Xiaosong about his years of exploration. The surging news: It is said that you began to explore caves when you were in primary school. Can you tell me how you started?

Huang Xiaosong: When I was young, I liked marine organisms very much because they were strange and colorful, especially tropical fish and coral. In the place where we live, every time we take a car out of the "outside world", we will see a dark big hole not far from the road. It has an unspeakable fear and mystery for me. There is also a karst cave in a mountaintop depression about two kilometers away from my children's school, where senior students go to play and bring back beautiful stalactites. At that time, I was in the first grade of primary school, and suddenly opened my unknown world.

The stone needle in the cave was as beautiful as coral. At that time, all the students in the school were eager to go to the cave. All the students, big and small, went there. It was like a fish in a river. I followed my classmates in. After entering, I couldn't extricate myself, because the stalactite inside was as beautiful as coral in my eyes. I still remember that the hole is very deep, with four floors. The deepest part is only a wall away from the coal mine below, and the miners can be heard. At that time, I didn't feel scared at all, just excited. Later, I often took a flashlight with me and slid down the cliff ridge to the bottom of the cave. There is nothing there. After all, the whole school has patronized it, but I like to take the stone flowers in the cave very much. Of course, I learned later that this is the destruction of karst caves and is not advisable. But I didn't understand at that time, so I took a chisel and a hammer to tinkle in the hole. The knocked stalactites were placed on the windowsill every day to watch. The small ones were placed in the earthen pot to make rockeries, and the small fish were caught from the river and raised in it. I thought it was very beautiful. Karst caves brought me a lot of happiness in my childhood, so I can't give up.

Cave deposits and cave beads surging news: You said that the cave is very close to your school and there are many children to play, so it seems that it is not very difficult and mysterious to go to the cave in Guizhou? Huang Xiaosong: Because Guizhou is full of mountains, many villages are very close to the caves. In fact, as long as they are close to the karst caves around the people's residence, almost everyone has been there. Some ethnic minorities also have the tradition of dancing and singing in the cave. During the Spring Festival, many people will also go to play. In ancient times, especially during the Xiantong Rebellion (the uprising of the Miao people in the years of Xianfeng and Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty), the Miao people avoided disasters, went to live in the cave, and even carried out market transactions in the cave. It is interesting that in Guizhou, many villagers have the habit of finding treasure in the cave, because people like to take their money to the cave in the troubled times.

The surging news of the cliff carvings in the cave: What is your greatest pleasure in exploring the cave? Would you still feel that stalactite looks like coral as you did when you were a child? Huang Xiaosong: Now it's not just coral, exotic flowers and plants, birds and animals, gods, Buddhas, immortals and monsters. In fact, the greatest pleasure I get is to get a sense of pleasure from the cave scenery. There are not many other things mixed in it.

Pictorial stone · Mushroom stone Most cave explorers like to say that cave exploration is the secret of exploring the unknown world. But I think that in the hole, the light in your palm can only illuminate the world in front of you forever, and the rest is endless black. The secret is endless, and every step I take is a surprise to me.

The surging news of exploring caves: don't you have a sense of conquest of caves? Huang Xiaosong: I can't conquer the cave because I have been conquered by it. I'm not so greedy. I can only bow down to the ground and cannot extricate myself from the nature's divine beauty.

The surging news: In the hole, it is dark, with only a little light source, and you and your teammates, how do you feel inside? Would you feel particularly peaceful? Or a little scared? Feeling small?

Huang Xiaosong: You have said all these things, sometimes very strong, but I still have incomparable satisfaction and cordiality. In fact, the cave is not as dangerous as you think. It is more like the mother body. It seems that everything is back to the original.

In the cave with his team-mates, the news surged: How do you find those caves to explore? Huang Xiaosong: Look at the terrain. It looks like there are cliffs, depressions, and pits. These places are most likely to have karst caves. It can also be found by observing the surface vegetation. Because the temperature difference and humidity of the plants at the cave mouth are different from the surrounding areas, they tend to present different growth states and unique species communities. There are also records of local chronicles. As we walked through many holes, we naturally knew where there would be holes. Of course, this can only be accurate to six or seven points. The most important thing is to ask the local people where the hole is.

Begonia is also a sign that there are caves nearby. The news is surging: which caves do you think are particularly beautiful after so many years of exploration? Huang Xiaosong: Each cave has its own unique beauty, which is difficult to express in language. Some are difficult to take pictures with cameras. For example, there is a hole where a friend stands on a cliff stone to take pictures, but the spectacular scene under the cliff cannot be taken.

It is difficult for the photos to express the spectacular news of caves: many people think that cave exploration is an extreme sport, and accidents in cave exploration often occur in the news reports. Even this is one of the themes of thriller movies. How do you think of the danger of cave exploration? Huang Xiaosong: Extreme hole exploration is only one kind of hole exploration, which needs to be carried out with the help of SRT (single rope technology), and requires a lot of training at ordinary times. But I don't pursue this personally. Once I nearly lost my way, and once I saw a friend of mine slip and fall with my own eyes. She learned to explore caves in college. Fortunately, I fell a step away from the underground river, and there was no major event. But this matter has also strengthened my idea, and now I basically don't touch it. After I lost my way, I thought that my original intention of exploring the cave was to covet its beauty, but not to offend its majesty.

River in the cave

I try not to touch the dark river with only a little light. Because when I was exploring a cave in Mochong County, Qiannan Prefecture, there was a loss of temperature due to my long journey in the underground river, which was very dangerous in the exploration cave. At that time, I hurried to use the blanket, eat chocolate and exercise to help. It was reasonable to light another candle in the blanket to keep warm, but I didn't have a candle because I didn't expect to lose temperature at all. When I came here, it was a hot day in the thirties outside, but my friend and I started wading less than 100 meters into the water, and all the back were soaked in the water. Generally, there is a constant temperature in the cave, about 15 degrees, but the water temperature is much lower. The main reason for temperature loss is that the water temperature is too low.

There are various stalactites in the karst caves. The karst caves in Guizhou are complex. Some of the caves are dry and hot as you go inside, and others are like the junction of yin and yang. For example, when I went to a cave in Huishui County, there was a big pond in it, and the soil on the bank was dry like Sahara. There is no water flowing out of the hole in Mochong County. I didn't think there was an underground river before I went in. In fact, water seeped into the ground near the entrance. One feature of karst landform is that it is not easy to retain water on the surface.

The stinking frog in the cave is surging news: Many holes will be like this, and you will find the danger after entering. Will you give up directly? Huang Xiaosong: I will give up the most dangerous part and not make further exploration. The "most dangerous" is decided by the vote of the partners who explore the cave together.
