Republic of Serbia (Serbian Cyrillic: Република Србија， Serbian Latin Letter: Republika Srbija, English: Republic of Serbia, abbreviated as "Serbia", is a landlocked country located in southeastern Europe and the central Balkan Peninsula. Serbia has a total land area of 88500 square kilometers (10900 square kilometers in the Kosovo region)，sports fitness .
It borders Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, and Albania, with one fifth of the Danube River, the second largest river in Europe, flowing through its territory.
