Tianjin, abbreviated as "Jin" and also known as "Jingu" or "Jinmen", is a provincial-level administrative region, municipality directly under the central government, national central city, and mega city in the People's Republic of China. It is one of the first coastal open cities, a national advanced manufacturing research and development base, a core area for northern international shipping, a demonstration area for financial innovation and operation, and a leading area for reform and opening up. Tianjin is a national historical and cultural city that has emerged since ancient times due to water transportation.
